Labour lose seats but keep control in Reading
Reform fail to win any seat on the council
Reading's ruling Labour group lost three seats to the Greens in this year's local elections, but they retained control of the council.
Reform who had a candidate in each of the seventeen seats up for election failed to win any.
Their one councillor Clarence Mitchell, who defected from the conservatives, was beaten by a conservative.
The 48-seat council now looks like this:
Labour 29 (-3)
Green 11 (+3)
Conservatives 5 (+2)
Lib Dem 3 (-)
Labour lost three of their lead councillors including Karen Rowland, Adele Barnett-Ward and Ellie Emberson who was defeated by nine votes.
Labour Leader Liz Terry said she was 'disappointed' about the loss of her colleagues.
Leader of the Greens Rob White said it had been an 'amazing' night.
Defeated Reform councillor Clarence Mitchell denied it was 'karma' that he lost after defecting from the conservatives.
Counting took place overnight at the Rivermead leisure centre.
