Reading FC make third summer signing
28-year-old striker Jacob Brown joins on two-year deal
Reading Football Club has signed striker Jacob Brown on a two-year deal.
The 28-year-old arrives following his departure from Luton Town, where he spent the last three years. The forward also enjoyed a loan spell with Portsmouth last season, joining the Championship side in February.
Yorkshire-born Brown is perhaps best known for his time with Barnsley and Stoke City, helping the Tykes secure promotion from League One in 2018/19 before being named Stoke City's Player of the Season in 2021/22.
His most prolific campaign came during the 2021/22 season, when he scored 14 goals for the Potters, including his first of the campaign on the opening day against the Royals.
Brown becomes Reading's third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Kyreece Lisbie and Udoka Godwin-Malife.

He's athletic, works incredibly hard for the team, can play in a number of attacking positions and has shown throughout his career that he can score goals at a high level.

He has played at the top flight, has international experience with Scotland and has a real desire to come here and be part of what we're trying to achieve.
