Reading man sentenced after dangerous and drug driving crash
A 1-year-old was among those injured.
A 41-year-old man from Purley on Thames has received a suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to dangerous and drug driving following a crash on the A4 in Reading.
Rajan Galot, of Purley Rise, appeared at Reading Crown Court on 3rd September 2025 and admitted one count of dangerous driving as well as two counts of drug driving.
The offences relate to a collision on New Year’s Day 2024. Galot was behind the wheel of a Porsche Taycan in poor weather conditions on the A4 in Woolhampton, Reading, when he overtook an ambulance and then collided with a Ford Focus coming the other way.
The Ford Focus was carrying several people, including a one-year-old child. They all sustained only minor injuries.
Galot was sentenced on Monday (20 October) to 10 months in prison, suspended for 18 months. He was ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and is banned from driving for 24 months. He will need to take an extended retest before he can drive again.
