Reading's assistant kit manager Richard Bone has been given a six-match stadium ban by the Football Association for using discriminatory language towards a referee.
The FA said Bone admitted to an aggravated breach of FA Rule E3, in using insulting and/or abusive words referencing sexual orientation towards Matthew Corlett during a League One match against Huddersfield on August 9.
Bone was also fined £200 and ordered to attend a mandatory education course, the FA said.
Reading FC has issued the following statement:
"The club respects and supports the outcome of the regulatory commission process and acknowledges the importance of maintaining the highest standards of conduct within the game.
"Richard has accepted responsibility for his actions and will now serve the sanctions imposed.
"Throughout this period, the club will support Richard in undertaking the required education programme and rehabilitation, with a focus on learning, accountability and personal development."
