Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the M4 this morning.

The incident occurred at around 6am on the eastbound entry slip road at Junction 10, stemming from the A329 (M) at Winnersh.

Involved was a black and green Kawasaki motorcycle, the rider of which, a man in his fifties, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The road was temporarily closed as emergency services attended to the situation but has since reopened.

Investigating officer, PS Sarah Davies of the Roads Policing Unit, stated that inquiries are ongoing to understand the specifics of the incident.

She appealed for witnesses and urged drivers with dashcam footage from the area at the time to review their recordings for potentially crucial information concerning the collision or events leading to it.

Davies expressed gratitude to the road users for their patience during the investigation process at the scene.
