Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary is holding a police recruitment event in Basingstoke in August.

Members of the public are welcome to drop in to the recruitment event to find out more about what it takes to become a police officer or police staff member.

Police say they're always looking for people to join the policing family and wanted to hold an event to give those in the north of county a chance to learn more about a number of different roles in Basingstoke.

Officers from local Neighbourhood Policing Teams, District Policing Teams and the Criminal Investigation Department will be in attendance.

Challenge

Chief Inspector Hayley O’Grady, District Commander for Basingstoke, said: “If you’re looking for a new challenge and are interested in joining the police, then I’d like to welcome you to the event to meet some of our officers and staff and learn more about a career in policing.”

The event will be held in Festival Place, between Go Go Gadget and Goldsmiths, from 11am until 2pm on Saturday 30 August.
