Police in Reading look for hit and run driver
A pedestrian was knocked over on a zebra crossing

Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run incident in Reading.
At approximately 6.45pm yesterday (21/1), a dark coloured vehicle hit a pedestrian on a zebra crossing at the junction of Waverley Road and Tilehurst Road in Tilehurst.
The victim, a man aged in his thirties, suffered injuries to his shoulder and remains in hospital for treatment.

Investigating officer PC Benjamin Taylor, of the Roads Policing Unit, said:
“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this collision to please contact the force.
“I would be particularly keen to hear from anybody who may have dash-cam footage of the incident which could help us to identify the vehicle that failed to stop to please provide this to us.

“I would also urge the driver of the vehicle which did not stop to get in touch with us.
