Pedestrian seriously injured after crash in Fleet

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on Clarence Road.

A 77-year-old man has sustained serious injuries following a collision with a car in Fleet.

The collision occurred shortly after 5.35pm on 26th January as the man was crossing Clarence Road, near its junction with Upper Street.

A silver Toyota Corolla, which had turned into Clarence Road from Upper Street, was involved in the incident.

Members of the fire service passing by provided first aid to the pedestrian before ambulance crews arrived.

He was then taken to hospital with serious injuries, including a head injury, broken ribs and a broken collar bone. These injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police are now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision or captured footage of it, either through CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell cameras.
