Pedestrian seriously injured in collision in Bracknell
Police appeal for witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Bracknell in which a man has sustained life-changing injuries.
At approximately 7.30am on Tuesday (9/1), a silver Ford Moneo with ladders on its roof was involved in a collision with a male pedestrian, aged in his sixties, outside the Great Hollands shopping centre in the town.
The pedestrian sustained serious head and abdominal injuries and he was taken to hospital, where he remains at this time.
The driver of the Mondeo, a 40-year-old man from Bracknell was not injured, and has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving, driving whilst unfit through drugs and driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
He has been released on bail until 1 April while investigations continue.
