Newbury corn exchange has launched a Name a Seat appeal in aid of the Old Library Campaign which will see the historic building reopened as a new arts hub for the community.

The Old Library

Supporters are being asked to name one of the brand-new seats in the Old Library studio theatre in return for a £500 donation.

Every penny raised will go towards the Old Library campaign to establish a space devoted to using creative activity to improve the emotional, physical and mental wellbeing of our community.

An appeal spokesperson said:

"We still need to raise £100,000 to complete the Old Library project and naming a seat is a very personal way to support the campaign – whether it’s an individual's own name, a business name, in memory of a loved one or as a gift for someone special.

"There are a limited number of seats available so don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to be part of the reopening of this much-loved building."
