Murder investigation launched after man dies in Slough
A woman was also assaulted during the incident
A murder investigation has been launched in Slough following the death of a man.
Thames Valley Police say they were called to Grant Avenue shortly before 7am on Friday (25 April) where a man and a woman has been assaulted.
One of the victims, a 46 year old man, was taken to hospital where he passed away on Sunday (27 April).
The man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The other victim, a 34-year-old woman, sustained injuries and required minimal medical treatment.
40 year old Jakub Nowicki, of Ascot Road, Maidenhead, has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm; assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Nick Hind, of the Major Crime Unit said: “Firstly, our thoughts are with victim’s family at this extremely difficult time.
“A scene will remain in place as we continue to carry out our enquiries and we thank the community in advance for their patience as our officers continue their work.
“I would encourage anyone who does have concerns to please speak to a uniformed officer in the area."
