Ricardo Cain, 27, and Delano Brissett, 40, both of no fixed abode, have been sentenced for firearms and drugs offences following a detailed investigation across Thames Valley and Hampshire. The sentences were issued at Reading Crown Court on 9th October 2026.

Cain received a sentence of 14 years and nine months, while Brissett was sentenced to 16 years and six months after both were found guilty by unanimous jury at a previous hearing on 8th October. Their convictions included possession of firearms with intent to endanger life, possession of prohibited firearms, and possession of criminal property.

Brissett additionally faced charges related to supplying class A drugs - heroin and cocaine, while Cain pleaded guilty to similar charges.

The investigation commenced on 16th March 2026 after police discovered firearms, drugs, and cash at a property in Reading, unveiling a suspected county drugs line operating across the Thames Valley and Hampshire borders. Officers confiscated crack cocaine valued at £26,520, heroin worth £5,650, five firearms, and £5,830 in cash.

DC Chloe Palmer, the investigating officer, stated, “This verdict is the culmination of a detailed investigation into serious organised crime involving the supply of class A drugs and possession of firearms and ammunition. Such combinations pose a significant risk to communities, and we remain committed to prosecuting those involved.”
