Man who bit and spat at police officers in Fleet pleads guilty

A 23-year-old man has pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers in Fleet.

George Eastman, from Eastrop Way, Basingstoke, faced the charges following an incident on Fleet Road.

Police responded to a report of a man being threatened at around 9.30pm on 8th of March.

Eastman was arrested but subsequently threatened, bit, kicked, and spat at officers at the Holiday Inn Express on Fleet Road.

He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on the 10th of March, where he admitted to two counts of assaulting a constable.

Eastman has been bailed with conditions and is set to be sentenced at the same court on 14th April.
