Man jailed for shop thefts in Bracknell following police investigation
Daniel King sentenced for stealing over £500 worth of goods
Following a thorough investigation by Thames Valley Police, Daniel King has been sentenced for multiple theft offences committed in Bracknell.
King, aged 28 and of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft from a shop at Reading Magistrates' Court on Sunday, 7th July.
He received a thirty-six-week prison sentence at the same hearing.
Between 8th May 2026 and 26th June 2026, King entered various retail outlets in Bracknell, stealing goods valued at a total of £515.02.
King was arrested on 10th July and charged the following day for the offences.
PC Ryan Murphy from the Bracknell Neighbourhood Team remarked on the sentencing, highlighting the proactive efforts of the Op Purchase Shoplifting Team alongside the Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Murphy emphasised the commitment to supporting retailers and vowed continued efforts to investigate and bring offenders to justice.
He noted the significant impact shoplifting has on businesses, staff, and customers, reaffirming the intention to take decisive action against such criminal activities.
