Police received a report in September that there was an individual gaining access to a DVLA compound in Reading
Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced for drug and firearm offences in Slough.
Ayman Khan, aged 24, of Wexham Road, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court last Thursday (9 April 2026), to six years and six months in prison.
Khan pleaded guilty to one count each of:
- Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, namely Heroin
- Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, namely Cocaine
- Possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, namely Cannabis
- Possession of a prohibited weapon, which was an electrical incapacitation device
- Possession of prohibited ammunition
On the evening of 23 September 2025, police received a report that there was an individual gaining access to a DVLA compound in Reading.
Police say the individual was seen leaving the compound with a bag they did not arrive with. Officers stopped Khan in the vicinity as he matched the description of the suspect.
Khan was in possession of a taser electronic stun device and in total an estimated street value of over £60,000 of Class A and B drugs.
Khan was arrested on 23 September and charged the following day.
Investigating officer PC Gavin Ward said:
“This sentence reflects the seriousness of Khan’s involvement in drug supply and the significant harm his actions were causing within the community.
“Drug dealing ruins lives, fuels further criminality and has a devastating impact on individuals, families and neighbourhoods.
“The guilty plea entered in this case is a clear reflection of the strength and thoroughness of the evidence gathered during our investigation. Faced with the weight of that evidence, Khan had no option but to admit his offending.
“We remain absolutely committed to tackling drug‑related crime and ensuring those who seek to profit from the supply of drugs are brought to justice and held accountable for their actions.”
