Man hospitalised after assault in Reading

Thames Valley Police are searching for a key witness to come forward after a man in his 50s was robbed and assaulted in Reading

The man was threatened with a screwdriver and attacked near the Morrisons Daily on Wensley Road.

He was taken to hospital with injuries, where he currently remains.

The offender is described as a white man in his late forties with brown hair.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Lewis Macauley, said: “We are very keen to speak to the member of public who witnessed this as part of our investigation.

“If you were this person, or if you witnessed any part of this incident, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Your account could significantly help our enquiries.”
