Man charged with threats to kill after arrest on A303 near Basingstoke

A man has been charged with making threats to kill after he was arrested on the A303 near Basingstoke.

Thames Valley Police say they were called out on Monday (30 March) to a report that a woman was being threatened by a man she knew.

A man driving on the A303, near Bullington Cross, at around 1am on Tuesday (31 March) was then arrested.

A number of weapons, including baseball bats, a hatchet and a knife were located inside the vehicle.

34 year old Dominic Ettridge of no fixed abode, has since been charged with:

-Making threats to kill

-Possess an offensive weapon in a public place

-Possess knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place

-Drive a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence

-Fail to provide a specimen for analysis

-Use a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance

Ettridge is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (1 April).
