Man charged over Andover murder
Sashin Vishay Kumardew, 31, of Burkal Drive in Andover has been charged with murder amongst other charges
Officers investigating the murder of a 60-year-old woman in Andover have charged a man.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight constabulary said:
"Officers were called at 8:26am on Saturday 8 March to reports of a serious assault at an address on Burkal Drive in Andover.
"Anjela Chetty, from Andover, was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene.
"A second woman in her 60s was also found with serious injuries."
Sashin Vishay Kumardew, 31, of Burkal Drive in Andover, has been charged with the following offences:
Murder
Attempted murder
Two counts of possession of a Class A drug
Possession of a Class B drug
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 28 August.
