A 29-year-old man has been charged with drugs offences after police discovered suspected Class A drugs during a pursuit in Basingstoke on Friday 23rd January.

The incident occurred in the South Ham area at around 6.30pm when officers attempted to stop a vehicle. The driver exited the car and tried to flee but was arrested following a brief foot chase near Edgehill Close.

Police then carried out a search at the scene and found a bag containing suspected Class A substances.

Rhys Millingham, of New Road, Basingstoke, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, and dangerous driving.

Millingham is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today, 26th January 2026.
