A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a dangerous dog incident in Thatcham.
The male of no fixed abode was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of being the person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury. He has since been released on police bail.
The arrest is in connection with an incident that occurred at around 1.50pm on Wednesday 18 June, where a man was attacked by a dog outside the Burdwood Community Centre.
The victim, a man in his 60s, required hospital treatment following serious injuries to his hand.
PC Sammie Loughlin, of Thames Valley Police said: “We have been conducting a thorough investigation following this dangerous dog incident in Thatcham and have now made an arrest.
“As part of our ongoing investigation, a dog has been seized following a warrant granted by the court.
“We continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident, or has any information that may assist us to please get in touch.
