Man arrested following fatal Bracknell crash
A man in his 50s died following a collision with a vehicle late last night
An arrest has been made after a man in his 50s who was struck by a vehicle in Bracknell died.
The collision occurred in Ringmead, close to the junction with Hanworth Road, around 11.45pm last night (Saturday 18th July 2026).
Thames Valley Police officers have informed the man's family and are seeking further information following the incident.
A 25-year-old man from Bracknell has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, causing death by careless driving whilst uninsured, and failing to stop and report a road accident.
He is currently being held in police custody as the investigation continues.
Detective Sergeant Oliver Cahill-Smith of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit has called upon the public to assist with information that could shed light on the circumstances of the collision.
Detective Sergeant Cahill-Smith said: “I’m appealing to the public to come forward with information surrounding this collision, which has tragically taken the life of a man.
“I’d like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything in the area of Ringmead, near the junction with Hanworth Road, at about 11.45pm last night.
“If anyone has any footage from the area then please send it to the police as soon as possible."
