Pedestrian killed on M4 in west Berkshire
It happened near Membury services on the eastbound carriageway

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a lorry on the M4 in west Berkshire.
At around 8.54am today (6/8), a collision occurred involving an HGV and a pedestrian on the eastbound carriageway of the M4, close to Membury Services.
Tragically, the pedestrian, a man in his fifties, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Investigation
Detective Sergeant Dominique Roe said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who has sadly died.
“We are carrying out a thorough investigation to establish the circumstances of this collision and are appealing to anybody who witnessed it, or saw the events leading up to it, to please get in touch.
“If you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage, or have any information that may assist our investigation, please contact Thames Valley Police.
“Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be important.”
