A water park in east Berkshire where an 11-year-old girl drowned is to close in November.

Kyra Hill died at Liquid leisure in Datchet in August 2022 - she'd been attending a Birthday party.

In May this year a coroner ruled that Kyra was unlawfully killed following breaches in health and safety.

In a Facebook post the owner of Liquid lesiure Stuart Marston said:

"It is with great sorrow to announce that Liquid Leisure will be sadly closing after 24 years of trading due to the landlords not willing to renew our lease.

"As the director & owner, I would personally like to thank all of our customers (past & present) who have shared & enjoyed many great memories here at the lake in Datchet.

"Also, a massive thank you to all of my staff for making so many customers happy over the years and for making the lake such a friendly place to be. Thank you"

He added that the lake would continue to operate as normal until it officially closes to the public on Sunday, 30th November 2025.
