Reading branch of John Lewis to undergo multi-million pound revamp
It's part of a national investment of £60 million across the country
John Lewis has announced a multi-million pound investment to freshen up its Broad Street store in central Reading.
The multi-million pound refurbishment is a major boost to Reading's retail economy.

"Through the refurbishment we will create a fresh shopping environment that truly inspires and keeps pace with what our customers need today.
"These improvements will evolve our store into an even more vibrant destination, offering more reasons to visit, discover, and enjoy the unique John Lewis experience."
The transformation will include a reimagined beauty hall, a new hub for vision, computing, and electrical products, and a dedicated gifting area.
The store will also undergo modernisation throughout, with full redecoration and wider modernisation upgrades throughout the store.
Work will take place over the summer but the store - which is spread over six floors - will remain open throughout.
The project is part of John Lewis's commitment to investing in physical retail, with more than £50 million being spent on its stores around the UK this year.
Alongside Reading, multi-million-pound investments will be made in the John Lewis Glasgow, Cambridge, and Leicester stores, while the Liverpool store will receive further enhancements following its investment last year.
The company employs around six hundred people in Reading across its John Lewis and Waitrose brands.
