Police investigating a "targeted" fatal attack on a dog in Slough have put the case on hold due to a lack of evidence.

Officer say the dog, thought to have been an XL bully, was attacked on Burnham Lane on 29 September and died from its injuries.

It was taken for emergency treatment but died from its injuries.

Police say a lack of witness support and CCTV evidence means the case has been filed pending any further information coming to light.

Three men were arrested in connection with the fatal attack.

They remain on bail for drugs offences.
