Police in Andover make fifth arrest in firearms investigation

Police have made a fifth arrest as part of an investigation into firearms that were found in a property in Andover.
A sawn-off shotgun, a pistol and ammunition were seized by officers when they carried out a warrant at an address in Acre Court on Wednesday 12 November.
Four people were arrested at the scene. Three of those were charged with offences including drugs supply and firearms possession, and the fourth person was released from police custody on police bail.
On Saturday 15 November, officers made a fifth arrest as part of this investigation.
A 50-year-old man from Winchester was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm without a certificate, being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug, and being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
He has since been released on police bail with conditions pending further enquiries.
