Police appeal for witnesses after fatal motorcycle crash near Reading

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on Wantage Road (A417) north of Streatley.

At around 7.50am Friday (24/4), a blue Kawasaki motorcycle was involved in a collision on Wantage Road.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his sixties, sadly died as a result of the collision. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

It's not been made clear if another vehicle was involved.

Investigating officer Police Sergeant Rob Oliver-Clayson said: “Firstly, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family of the man who sadly died in this collision.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch.

“If you saw anything, or have any information that may assist our investigation, please come forward. If you captured dash-cam footage, you can upload it to our dedicated online portal.
