The family of Alex Weller have released a heartfelt tribute following his death in a road traffic collision on Common Hill, Reading, on Monday morning (3rd November).

In their tribute, Alex’s family described him as "a ball of chaotic energy and love who spread laughter and fun to all that knew him."

“Life will feel incredibly quiet and still without him," they said. "But for all who knew him, this is a reminder to live life to the full and do the things Alex will never get the opportunity to do.

“He will be so sorely missed by his family, girlfriend, and his many friends."

The family have requested privacy as they grieve their loss.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed that the collision occurred at approximately 8.20am on Monday (3rd November) on Common Hill in Englefield, involving a blue BMW and a blue Mercedes travelling in opposite directions.

The driver of the BMW, a 23-year-old man from Reading, sadly died at the scene.

No arrests have been made in connection with the collision.

Investigating officer Sergeant Sarah Davies, from the Roads Policing Unit, offered her condolences to Alex's loved ones.

“First and foremost, my thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who tragically lost his life in this incident,” Sergeant Davies said.

She urged anyone who was in the area at the time to review any dash-cam footage they may have that could assist officers in understanding the circumstances of the collision.
