Elderly pedestrian hit by car in Reading

The man in his eighties suffered serious injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious injury collision in Reading.

Between 2.15pm and 2.30pm on Monday (27/1), a blue Ford vehicle collided with an elderly man on the junction with Priest Hill and Priory Avenue, in Caversham.

The victim, a man aged in his eighties, remains in hospital with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Witnesses

Investigating officer PC Luke Stoneman, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“If you have dash-cam in your vehicle, I would urge you to please check this at around the time of the collision on Monday and get in touch if it has captured the collision or the moments leading up to it.
