Man seriously injured in Berkshire A34 crash

The multi-vehicle collision took place near East Ilsley on Friday evening

Police have launched an appeal for information after a man suffered life-threatening injuries in the wake of a multi-vehicle collision.

Thames Valley Police said they were alerted to an incident taking place on the A34 near East Ilsley at around 5:13pm on Friday evening (December 27th).

It is believed that a blue Yamaha motorcycle, a white Dacia Duster and a black Citroen C3 were involved in the crash as traffic was heading northbound on the road.

The driver of the motorcycle, believed to be a man in his late forties, suffered serious and life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital shortly after emergency services arrived on the scene.

Doctors have since described the man's condition as being critical but stable in hospital.

Currently, no arrests have been made in regards to the crash, according to Thames Valley Police, but enquiries are ongoing.

Speaking on the case, PC Alex Jarratt from the force said: "I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this collision to please contact the force.

“If you have dash-cam in your vehicles, I would urge you to please check this at around the time of the collision yesterday and get in touch if it has captured the collision or the moments leading up to it."
