Police are appealing for dash cam footage after a serious collision on the A339 in Basingstoke yesterday morning (Saturday 3 August).

Police were called at 9.07am to a report of a collision on the A339 southbound carriageway, just before the filter lane to turn right into Farleigh Road.

This involved a purple Peugeot 107 and a cyclist riding an electronically-assisted pedal cycle.

The cyclist, a 69-year-old man from Bristol, is being treated in hospital for life-threatening injuries.

We would like to speak to anyone who saw either party involved in this collision prior to the collision, or witnessed the incident itself.

In particular we would like to speak to anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
