Thatcham man receives ASB injunction after two years of disruptive behaviour
Court order restricts Daniel Quenault's access in West Berkshire
A man from Thatcham has been issued with an anti-social behaviour injunction following a hearing at Reading County Court on 1st July, addressing persistent disruptive actions within the local area.
Daniel Quenault, 27, of The Haywards, Thatcham, faced the injunction resulting from a Thames Valley Police application concerning ongoing anti-social behaviours spanning the last two years.
Substantial evidence presented in court demonstrated repeated incidents including shoplifting, aggressive conduct towards people and business staff in Thatcham town centre, and distressing activities impacting vulnerable residents at Gilbert Court.
Valid until 30th June 2027, the injunction restricts Quenault from entering any shops or public toilets within the Broadway area and surrounding locations, as defined by the order.
He is prohibited from entering Gilbert Court and must leave any retail establishment in West Berkshire, including charity shops, upon staff request. Furthermore, he must refrain from displaying aggressive, violent, or disorderly behaviour towards individuals or property in the area.
Additionally, Quenault cannot remain in communal areas like kitchens or bathrooms of properties managed by housing associations in West Berkshire.
These conditions carry a power of arrest should Quenault breach the injunction, allowing police to act swiftly if the order's terms are violated.

“This injunction was secured following a sustained pattern of anti-social behaviour by Daniel Quenault in the Thatcham area, which has caused significant concern within the local community."
