Caversham drug dealer jailed after police seize crack and heroin
A drug dealer caught with 99 wraps of crack and heroin has been jailed for seven years.
On Saturday 4 October 2025, police stopped a vehicle being driven by 40-year-old Daniel Anderson.
As the car pulled into the services, police noticed a small pink container being thrown out of the nearside window and landing on a patch of grass.
Following further enquiries, Anderson was subsequently charged with driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, and two counts of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
He admitted the driving offences, but denied the two drugs supply offences.
Appearing at the same court for sentencing on Friday 27 March, Anderson, of Star Road in Caversham, was jailed.
PC Katy Roache, who led the investigation, said: “Cases such as these show the value of proactive policing. Patrolling officers spotted this vehicle and stopped it to investigate potential driving offences.
“This stop led to the discovery of a large quantity of Class A drugs which have now been removed from the streets.
“Drug dealing is a scourge on our communities which goes hand in hand with violence and the exploitation of vulnerable people and children. Anderson will now face a lengthy sentence for his involvement in the supply of drugs.”
