Bracknell and Wokingham car thief jailed
Police say he showed disregard for the safety of others
A man has been jailed for using stolen vehicles in Bracknell and Wokingham.
Jamie Drablow, aged 25, of Kenilworth Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, has been jailed for 18 months and disqualified from driving for 39 months.
Drablow pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated vehicle taking and four counts of driving whilst disqualified.
The offences took place between 6 April and 13 August last year, while Drablow was already disqualified from driving.
The first aggravated vehicle offence happened on 6 April last, when Drablow used another vehicle that was stolen and then crashed it in Garswood, Bracknell.
The second aggravated vehicle offence happened on 14 May. Drablow used a stolen vehicle and then made off from police. Later, Drablow was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Nine Mile Ride, Bracknell. One member of the public was injured and sustained minor injuries.
The third aggravated vehicle offence happened on 25 June on Easthampstead Road, Wokingham. Drablow was seen by police officers driving a vehicle on false plates. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but Drablow made off. The vehicle was recovered later the same day after it had been abandoned.
Finally, on the 13 August, a stolen Range Rover was recovered in Oakengates, Bracknell. CCTV enquiries showed Drablow exiting the vehicle.
Disregard
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Stephen Major of the Priority Crime Team, said: “Jamie Drablow showed a disregard to the safety of others when he got behind the wheel of a number of stolen vehicles.
“Drablow was already disqualified from driving when he carried out these offences.
“I hope the sentence and the length of the disqualification from driving acts as a deterrent to others who believe they can drive on the roads without a licence or with disregard of the law.”
