After years of planning, fundraising, and community determination, Monxton and Amport has a new village hall.

This project has seen residents, local businesses, parish councils, and borough councillors working side by side to make it happen. The total cost of £470,000 was met through a mix of generous grants and incredible community fundraising.

Mike Cleugh, Chairman of Monxton Parish Council and fellow trustee, added; “This project has been built on community spirit. From fundraising to the final touches, it’s been a real team effort, and we can’t wait to see it in full use.”

Chris Harris, Chairman of Amport Parish Council and trustee of the village hall, reflected on the journey, saying; “This hall is more than just bricks and mortar—it’s a symbol of what we can achieve when we come together. The dedication of everyone involved has been extraordinary.”
