Girl threatened with sexual assault in west Berkshire
Police want to trace a van driver who scared off her attacker

Police appealing for witnesses following an attempted sexual assault on a child in Bishop’s Green near Greenham Common in West Berkshire.
Between around 9.30am and 10am on Thursday (1/8), the victim, a girl aged in her teens, was waiting at a bus stop in the village when a man approached her and tried to touch her inappropriately.
The offender then threatened to rape and hurt the victim.
A man who was driving a blue Volkswagen Transporter van then pulled into the bus stop and shouted at the offender, saying he would call the police.
The offender then ran off in the direction of Greenham Business Park.
Description
The offender is described as white with a pale complexion, aged in his mid-forties, with dark brown hair, shaved on the sides and longer on top.
He was around 6ft 2ins tall and was wearing black jogging bottom style shorts.

Investigating officer PC Jake Thain said:
“This incident occurred in a public place at a bus stop in the village of Bishop’s Green.
“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this or who may have dash-cam, doorbell or CCTV footage that may have captured the incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I would also like to speak to the man who stopped and challenged the offender’s behaviour.
