Andover’s family festival, A-Fest, returns to the High Street this Sunday, 27th April, from 10am to 3pm, promising a vibrant, free day out packed with entertainment, creativity, and community spirit.

Organisers say A-Fest continues to grow year-on-year and 2025 is set to be the biggest yet.

This year’s festival will feature a record number of community groups, charities, local businesses, and organisations offering interactive experiences, creative workshops, and family-friendly activities.

The main stage will come alive throughout the day, kicking off at 10am with music to welcome attendees. At 10:30am, Andover Musical Theatre Company will take to the stage, followed by performances from Mad Melodies at 11am, showcasing both their adults and children’s choirs. At midday, Can Dance Will Dance will bring energy and movement, followed by DeeDee, one of our sponsors, being welcomed to the stage at 12:30pm. At 1pm, the much-loved Frosty’s Band of Test Valley Brass will return, with Mary Red performing at 1:30pm and Rosie Spencer rounding off the live entertainment at 2pm.

Visitors can expect to see a fire engine from Andover Fire Station, therapy goats from The Three Bees Project, and alpacas from Bridge End Alpacas.

Local crafters, charities, and traders including Andover Mind, Koala Community Hub, Yellow Brick Road Projects, Alabaré, Youth Options, Andover Trees United, Cats Creations, CaraJ Crafts, Sweet Ideas, Go Fudge Yo’self, Wicked Wax Melts, and S&J Catering will all be there to add to the colour and creativity of the day.

Togetherness

Dmitrijs Meiksans, organiser of A-Fest, said, “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to A-Fest this Sunday. It’s a celebration of everything that makes Andover special – from the incredible young talent to the fantastic organisations that support our town. At a time when families are feeling the pressure of rising costs, we’re proud to offer a free day that brings joy, opportunity, and togetherness to the heart of the community.”
