Andover 20-year-old jailed for firearms and drugs offences
Court hands down eight-and-a-half years sentence
An Andover man has been sentenced to eight and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to firearms and drugs supply offences.
Teejay Stainer, 20, of Acre Court in Andover, stood before Winchester Crown Court on 8th May, where he received his sentence.
The court was told that on 12th November 2025, police found a sawn-off shotgun, pistol, ammunition, and a hammer hidden in a Nike bag in Stainer's bedroom during a warrant at his home.
A dagger was also discovered in the kitchen.
Authorities searching the property also came across a bag containing Class A drugs along with mobile phones, indicating evidence of drug supply.
Stainer pleaded guilty to possession of prohibited weapons, possession of ammunition without a firearms certificate, and being involved in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs at Winchester Crown Court on 9th January.
He was sentenced to five years in prison for the weapons offences, with another two years for drug supply charges to be served consecutively.
Stainer was on a suspended sentence for robbery and as a result, received a further 18-month sentence.
Trainee Detective Constable Megan Landeg, the officer in charge (OIC), expressed satisfaction with the sentencing result.
“I welcome the result from sentencing today, and am pleased that a dangerous criminal is off our streets.
“Tackling drug-related harm is a priority for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, as the supply of drugs is often linked to other offences such as violence, and the abuse of vulnerable adults and children.
“I hope this sentencing goes to show that we will not tolerate offensive weapons or the supply of drugs in our communities.
“If you are involved in this type of criminality, we will find you and bring you to justice,” Landeg said.
