Man arrested on suspicion of drink driving on A303
18 year old faces multiple charges following dangerous driving incident
An 18-year-old man has been arrested following a dangerous driving incident in Andover.
The arrest followed reports of a silver Volkswagen Urban Fox being driven recklessly between 7:15pm and 8:10pm on Saturday night (13 June).
The driver failed to stop for police, continued at excessive speeds, and was seen driving on the wrong side of the road on the A303 towards Andover.
The vehicle was eventually stopped by police in Whitchurch, leading to the arrest of the teen on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, and drink driving.
The 18-year-old from Whitchurch has been bailed until 19th June while investigations continue.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident, particularly around the A303 and Andover town centre areas, to come forward.
