Witness appeal after assault at Stevenage pub
Woman injured during an altercation in the Marquis of Lorne pub garden
Authorities are seeking witnesses and any information regarding a recent assault that took place in the High Street area of Stevenage.
The incident occurred on Saturday, 30th May at approximately 9.15pm in the garden of the Marquis of Lorne pub.
A woman in her 40s was reportedly injured after trying to intervene in an altercation, sustaining an ear injury that required hospital treatment.
Detective Constable Laura Thomas, who is leading the investigation, emphasised the importance of witness testimony:
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the pub at the time and saw what happened to please get in touch. Any information you have could help us progress this investigation.”
A woman in her 20s has been arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and is currently on police bail as inquiries continue.
