Witness appeal following alleged arson incident in Milton Keynes
A fire was started on a 5G telecommunications mast in Oldbrook
Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of alleged arson in Milton Keynes.
Between 8.15 and 9pm yesterday (31 March), a fire was started on a 5G telecommunications mast at the junction of Saxon Street and Dexter Avenue in Oldbrook.
Emergency services quickly attended the scene, evacuated nearby residents and put out the fire.
Residents have since returned to their homes, and no one was injured.
Police are describing the offender as a man of slender build, wearing a light‑coloured baseball cap, a black tracksuit top with white stripes on the arms, and light‑coloured trousers.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Jordan Wallace, said:
“We believe that this fire was started deliberately and so are investigating it as an incident of arson.
“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to please come forward.
“I would like to hear from anybody who has dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell camera footage that has captured the incident to please contact us."
