A 32-year-old man from West Drayton has been ordered to pay almost £6,000 after two separate incidents of fly-tipping in Buckinghamshire.

Aurelian Stoev, of Drayton Gardens, appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates Court on 15th October 2025, where he pleaded guilty to illegally dumping waste.

On Sunday 27th October 2024, a large pile of rubbish was found dumped in the middle of Hawkswood Lane in Fulmer.

A witness reported seeing two tipper vans leaving the area between 3.15 and 3.30pm, and council camera footage later captured one of the vans full of waste nearby.

Just days later, on Tuesday 31st October 2024, another pile of waste was dumped on Langley Park Road in Iver.

Council officers traced evidence from the dumped rubbish back to a building company, which revealed they had paid a man and van to take away waste. Details provided by this company—bank details, a mobile number, and vehicle registration—led officers to Stoev.

In an interview at Slough Police Station, Stoev admitted dumping waste at Hawkswood Lane. He initially claimed his van broke down and was later filled with waste by someone else, but he retracted that story after being presented with video evidence.

Stoev did not admit to dumping waste at Langley Park Road, but magistrates found him responsible for both offences.

Stoev was fined £1,038 and told to pay costs and compensation totalling £3,075.30, along with a victim surcharge of £830.00, bringing his total bill to £5,981.30.

Ade Osibogun, Buckinghamshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Climate Change and Waste said, “Buckinghamshire Council has a zero-tolerance stance on fly-tipping. It is against the law and where we have the evidence to prosecute, we will seek to bring offenders to justice.”
