Van passengers attacked in Ware robbery
Two men have been arrested and released on bail as enquiries continue
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Ware.
It happened at around 7:50pm on Wednesday, 5th August, on Fanhams Hall Road.
A white Volkswagen Caddy van was stopped and the people inside were pulled out and assaulted by a group of people, some of whom were wearing surgical masks, before the van was driven away.
The van was found abandoned a short time later on the B1004, just south of Babb's Green.
Police said a significant amount of money had been stolen from inside.
The case is being treated as targeted, and police said there is no threat to the community.
A 24-year-old man from Luton and a 33-year-old man from Welwyn Garden City have been arrested in connection with the robbery.
Both have been released on police bail while the investigation continues.
Detective Inspector Sam Alcock, from the Crime and Intelligence Command, said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Fanhams Hall Road area between 7.45pm and 8pm on 5 August."
"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a white Volkswagen Caddy in the area around the time of the incident or witnessed anything they thought was suspicious."
