Car windows smashed during spate of criminal damage in Watford
There have been eight reports of vehicles having their windows broken

Hertfordshire Police are investigating following a spate of criminal damage in West Watford.
The force say there have been eight reports of vehicles having their windows broken at various time throughout the day on the 24th of March.
• Several vehicles in Belgrave Avenue were damaged, including smashed windows and a wing mirror ripped off. A glass panel was also smashed on a nearby bus stop, and a young person was reportedly seen in the vicinity with a slingshot.
• A car parked at Wendover House on Chenies Road had its windscreen smashed
• Multiple vehicles in Tolpits Lane had their windows damaged, as well as another bus stop
• A car window was smashed in Croxley View
• Several vehicles and a bathroom window were damaged on Durban Road East
Community Safety Sergeant Karl Diggins, from the Watford Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We want to reassure the public that we are following several lines of enquiry into these incidents, which have left victims with the inconvenience and cost of repairs to their vehicles.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have information about this crime series to come forward and speak to us, and if you witness a crime in action then please call 999 so we can prioritise attendance with the aim of making a timely arrest.”
