Officers investigating a serious injury road traffic incident in which an on-duty officer sustained life-threatening injuries have made two further arrests.

A 28-year-old man from Slough has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and a 43-year-old man, also from Slough, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice.

They both remain in police custody at this time.

A 38-year-old man who was arrested earlier today on suspicion of attempted murder and causing serious injury by dangerous driving also remains in custody.

The arrests are in connection with an incident on the B416 Bells Hill between Decies Way and Rogers Lane in Stoke Poges, which occurred at 10.20pm on Thursday (22/5).

The injured officers’ loved ones and colleagues are being supported at this extremely difficult time.

The road remains closed in both directions between Decies Way and Rogers Lane. The closure directly affects the Banana Moon Day Nursery and this is no access to the nursery at present.
