Three teenagers charged and remanded over Luton stabbing
Murder charges follow Kingsway Recreation Ground attack

Three teenagers have been charged with murder and remanded into custody following a fatal stabbing in Luton.
The incident, which occurred on Friday at Kingsway Recreation Ground, involved two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old, who appeared at Luton Magistrates’ Court before being remanded pending a further court date.
The charges against them include murder, violent disorder, and possession of a bladed article.
Officers responded to reports of a violent disorder at approximately 6.30pm on Friday, with a group of teenagers seen carrying knives.
A 17-year-old boy was discovered with multiple stab wounds and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Though formal identification is yet to occur, specially trained officers are currently supporting his family.
Another 17-year-old boy arrested over the weekend has been bailed pending further inquiries, while another arrested on Friday, who is in hospital with serious injuries, remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gardener commented, “Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family at this time. We understand this was a shocking incident for the local community and we would like to reassure them that we have had detectives working tirelessly on this case throughout the weekend. High visibility patrols and an increased police presence in the area will continue.”
