Police appeal for witnesses after suspected rape in Milton Keynes
Police launch urgent investigation after woman found in wooded area near Kemsley Crescent.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following a reported rape in Broughton, Milton Keynes.
Between 6pm and 6.30pm on Monday, a woman in her thirties was found by a member of the public in a wooded area near the Kemsley Crescent allotments in Broughton Park. She reported that she had been raped.
No arrests have been made, and a full investigation is under way.
Detective Inspector Rachel Wheaton of Milton Keynes CID said the victim is being supported by specially trained officers. “We are treating this as a priority and are urgently appealing to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area at the time,” she said.
No description of the suspect has yet been obtained. Officers are asking anyone with information to come forward.
An increased police presence will remain in the area, including reassurance patrols.
