Teenagers arrested after bricks thrown from M1 bridge

Bedfordshire Police believe a number of vehicles have been damaged

Three teenagers are have been arrested following reports of bricks being thrown from a bridge over the M1 near Caddington.

Bedfordshire Police say the incidents happened close to Junction 10 on Monday (6 April) and Tuesday (7 April) and they believe a number of vehicles have been damaged.

The teenagers were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage with intent to endanger life.

They are currently being questioned by police.

A spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police asked parents to speak to their children:

"Whilst warmer weather is expected this week and children remain off school, we would urge parents to remind them of the dangers of such activity and the importance of staying safe during the Easter holidays. "
