Hertfordshire teenager remanded in custody on suspicion of preparing an act of terrorism

A teenage boy from Hatfield has been charged with preparing to commit an act of terrorism.
The 17-year-old, who can't be named, was also accused of possessing an indecent image of a child.
He was arrested on 21 April, as part of an investigation led by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit, and appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on 22 May.
The teenager has been remanded in custody until a hearing at the Old Bailey on 5 June.
