Teen seriously injured in assault at music festival in Milton Keynes
Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries during an attack at the Sidewinder music festival at MK Arena.
Police are investigating after a teenager was seriously assaulted at a music festival in Milton Keynes on Saturday night (24 May).
The victim, a man in his teens, was attacked between 9pm and 9.30pm near the smoking area at the Sidewinder festival at MK Arena in the MK Dons Stadium. He suffered serious injuries to his cheek bone and eye socket, and required hospital treatment.
A second person also received minor facial injuries and was taken to hospital. Both have now been discharged.
Two mobile phones were reported stolen during the incident.
Detective Constable Jessica Cooper, from Thames Valley Police, said: “I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed this incident to please contact Thames Valley Police.
“This was a serious assault which took place near to the smoking area at the Sidewinder music festival and the area will have been busy at the time. I believe a number of people will have seen what happened and may have information to assist our investigation.”
